Ana Aslan, the Woman who defeated time.
Prof. Dr. Ana Aslan (1897-1988) was a Romanian biologist and physician who discovered the anti-aging effects of procaine on which she developed the formulas Gerovital H3 and Aslavital. She is considered to be a pioneer of gerontology and geriatrics.
Ms Aslan founded the Geriatric Institute of Bucharest in 1952 which was the first in the world to be recognized by the World Health Organization.
While researching the pain-relieving effects of procaine, Aslan developed the formula Gerovital in 1952. Together with Elena Polovrageanu, she created an improved formula marketed as Aslavital (1961).Â
The fantastic results of many years of research made a splash at international conferences, scientific meetings and in published reviews. Scientists from the USA, Germany, United Kingdom, Japan, Italy, Austria, and Romania confirmed the effects of Dr. Aslan's Gerovital H3 and thousands of people traveled to Romania to meet the miraculotus beneficial effects of the Gerovital H3 products.
The promise of prolonged youth along with the testimonials of thousands of users of a seemingly miraculous treatment has reached far beyond the borders of Romania. Notables such as French President Charles De Gaulle, U.S. President John F. Kennedy, West German Chancellor Konrad Adenauer, Chinese Chairman Mao Tse Tung, and Vietnamese Chairman Ho Chi Minh have traveled to Romania to receive this anti-ageing therapy.
Other well-known people, including actresses Marlene Dietrich, Lillian Gish, the Gabor sisters, actors Charlie Chaplin and Kirk Douglas, and artist Salvador Dali have also followed the same path. Once discovered by these celebrities, Gerovital itself has become famous and is now used worldwide for its renowned anti-aging properties.
