VITAMIN C Levorotatory
Size: 100 cap
DETAIL INFORMATIONÂ
Vitamin C is a cofactor in at least eight enzymatic reactions, including several collagen synthesis reactions that, when dysfunctional, cause the most severe symptoms of scurvy. It is especially important in the process of hydroxylation of proline and lysine - two amino acids present in the collagen molecule.Â
Hydroxylation allows the collagen molecule to assume its triple helix structure, and thus vitamin C is essential to the development and maintenance of scar tissue, blood vessels, cartilage and the condition of our skin.
Most animals can produce their own vitamin C, but humans have lost this ability. The human body does not produce vitamin C in the liver. There is an increased demand for vitamin C supplements as we cannot always effectively ensure a regular vitamin C intake.
We obtain Vitamin C-olway straight from the nature, from sprouting buckwheat and bitter oranges. These two plants are now recognized as one of the most valuable natural resources, due to their high bioavailability and excellent flavonoid links.
Vitamin C comes in three forms; levorotatory, dextrorotatory and racemic. Levorotatory vitamin C has the highest bioavailability - absorption in the human body - and is the most beneficial. The L- vitamin C is the only one that is affective. The dextrorotatory form, the common one, is nearly useless.
ACTION
- Promotes collagen synthesis for skin regeneration.
- Supports the immune system.
- Prevents gum bleedingÂ
- Useful in pregnant ladies those prone to gingival inflammation
- Fades pigmentation spots.
- Stimulates the production of white blood cells.
- Stimulates the hepatic system (liver), responsible for detoxifying the blood and eliminate some toxic and synthetic drugs.Â
- Reduces appetite.
- Helps protect cells.
- Allows better absorption of iron.
- Seals the blood vessels. Accelerates wounds and injuries healing and reduces scarring.
ACTIVE SUBSTANCES
Buckwheat: The extract from germinating seeds can contain up to 26% levorotatory vitamin C. Freeze-dried extracts of green buckwheat are highly valued components of food additives because of the high concentration of flavonoids (up to 46000ppm) in their sprouts.
Bitter orange (Citrus aurantium L): is not an edible fruit but it is a great source of levorotatory vitamin C. The amount of vitamin C in bitter orange extract may be as high as 42%. Bitter oranges are much richer in vitamin C than edible oranges. They are rich not only in vitamin C but also in polyphenols, anthocyanins and other powerful antioxidants such as: bioflavonoids such as hesperidin and narirutina, thiamine, vegetable acids such as folic acid, hydroxycinnamic, caffeic, coumaric, sinapic, ferulic, and also beta-carotene, pro-vitamin, vitamin B1, B2, B6 and minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, iron, magnesium, sodium, selenium and potassium.
